STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY

As you’ve discovered in this episode, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.

Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.

Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.

Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!

STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS

If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?

Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).

Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.

Love,

Michael

P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.

IMPORTANT: ABOUT UPCOMING EPISODES...

  3. thanks Michael for understanding what it takes to go out every day, commit to being around people when you are not sure you will make it through. I’ve never been called brave before! can’t wait for episode #2

  4. Comforting to know it’s a false alarm and I won’t die. It feels so real and scary, anticipating death. I’m tired of the false alarms and want to get my life back. I’m hopeful your series can help where other avenues haven’t. Thank you.

  6. This is very comforting knowing that I am not alone and I look forward to the road to recovery. I had my first panic attack while deployed in Afghanistan while off mission and relaxing immediately after which we were attacked and it was a very violent and deathly event, I believe this is why I continue to still have multiple panic attacks a week still to this day, over 4 years later.

    1. Hi Cody, I’m so sorry to hear of the horrible experience you went through but I’m glad this episode was very comforting to you. I’m glad you’re here so we can help you. (Just please note: this series isn’t designed for PTSD if that’s your main issue. It’s designed for what’s commonly labeled “panic disorder”)

  7. Its really helpful to think of panic attacks as a mistake of my fight or flight mechanism. Thank you for this way of visualising the experience.

  8. It’s not a disease. You can be free from it completely. It’s acceptable that you feel like the end of the world, because you’re brain is trying it’s hardest to simulate precisely that.

  9. Thank you! I have learned a few things that I never knew before. I never looked at my panic attacks and anxiety the way you explained them. It is comforting to know that “I am not alone in quote. The statistics that you gave are also very helpful. I’m extremely interested in following up with video 2 to continue learning more. This whole time I’ve been thinking that I have had a chemical in balance, which isn’t comforting at all. Thanks again.

  10. I suffered a heart attack at age 34 and a few years later I have suffered a bad back injury which causes heart attack symptoms. My panic attacks have gone out of control and I am unable to work and I don’t leave the house much…. I literally die every day. You give me hope. Thanks

    1. Hi Mark, so sorry to hear about what you’ve been through. That’s not easy. I’m glad you’re here to we can help you!

  11. Amazing information. I have suffered from panic attacks and anxiety for years without any answers. Last year at the age of 44 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma and my world was rocked. My anxiety was at a higher level. I have since won the fight and am cancer free but the anxiety and panic never let’s me rest. I am excited to continue to watch your videos.

    1. Hi Pat, first off… congratulations for beating cancer! I’m so happy to hear that! Since you’re now cancer-free… let’s get you panic-free too!
