STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY
As you’ve discovered in this episode, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.
Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.
Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!
STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS
If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?
Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).
Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.
Love,
Michael
P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.
IMPORTANT: ABOUT UPCOMING EPISODES...
Please keep an eye out for emails from me. I space each episode out to once every 2-3 days to give people time to watch. Links to episode 2 and future episodes will be emailed to you, when ready.

I DID feel alone and also experienced the heart palpitations and the feeling of suffocating. Just understanding what it is already feels like it’s helping. I had all the heart tests and nothing was found. That’s really scary. I don’t want to live like this!
I’m so glad this is already helping you Karen!
Love what I’ve heard. However how do I get the rest of the episodes?
Thanks…
Hi John, the rest of the episode will be emailed to you. I space them out so people have time to digest the information. Thanks so much.
You arrange angel …. may god bless you! I have been suffering from panic attack for 5 years and for the first time ever I feel strong and able to overcome the attacks
So glad to hear that Malaz. Thanks for commenting!
I have been suffering anxiety and panic attacks since I was young. While I have gone through better times, the panic has returned as I too am facing health issues.
I completely agree that support and feeling safe are the key to offset the feelings.
Thank you for sharing this insightful information for a road to recovery.
Thanks for sharing your insights Cheri. I hope your health issue resolves easily.
It is just an over working protective mechanism.
You got it Steve!
Hi Michael, thank you for what you do and try to help others and sharing your story with us about your personal life. It is very hard of course to leave with this fear and it’s harder because you hide in it and trying to run away but you are right about not to run from it but face it. I have been with this fear for over 2 years and I see that lots of people hade this longer. It is very comforting knowing that there is people like you who can and I really hope that you will help me and million others like me. I am scared and still trying to run from it but I hope that very soon it will go away. I want to enjoy my life with my kids and wife. Please help us and thank you again for trying to fix as you said this MISTAKE!!!
Thank you
Misha
You’re welcome Misha. Sorry for what you’ve gone through, but I’m so glad you’re finally here and can benefit from this series!
I could actually feel my body telling me “I’m sorry” for the mistakes it made every time a false alarm happened. I am grateful for this. My best friend Adam and I suffer from these atracks. Thank you for the help.
That’s nice feedback from your body. Thanks for sharing Ryan!
Hi Michael, I have lived with this all my life, I was raised in a third world country full of civil war and a horrible way of living, I have never felt truly happy or satisfied, it’s all fires for me.. this whatever is called lets me feeling a horrible sense of doom… it leaves me depressed, weak, drained and unhappy… please release the rest of the videos, you have made me feel better even if for a little bit….when you tell me that I’m brave and that this is just a false alarm, it sure doesn’t feel so when you’re going through it… I wish I was stronger to face it and just defeat it!!!
Thank You for your kind words. God Bless You.
Sincerely,
Petit Jeunne Fille….
Hi Petit, I’m glad this first video made you feel better. Stay tuned for the rest of the series, you’ll get them in your email inbox. Thanks!
I came across your name whilst searching YouTube for information on tactics to overcome panic attacks. I had a nervous breakdown last year and have suffered daily with anxiety and panic attacks ever since and have tried everything from medication to psychotherapy. This has given me a different perspective on what a panic attack is and it has helped so much to reassure me. I can’t wait to watch the next episode. Thank you for letting me know I’m not crazy or alone
You’re welcome Joanna. I’m so glad this episode has already helped you!
It put me at ease . but how long does it take to perma get rid of my panic attacks?
Glad to hear that LaShaun. While everyone is different, I often only see clients for 1 session.
Thank you Michael, your smoke alarm analogy drove home an important point for me…the overprotective mistake. This one piece is already shifting my thoughts to a more promising prospect of moving beyond the unpredictable panic attacks.
I’m so glad to hear that Lynn!
Thanks for this, can’t wait for episode two!
Thanks looking forward to next episodes!
You’re welcome Garret
I needed this!
I’m the anxiety queen!
It’s been years since I’ve felt normal and I have a lot of physical symptoms that can’t be explained !
I feel following this will get me back to my fun loving life!
Thank you!
You’re welcome Tina, and glad you’re watching this series!
I don’t know why, but i cried during the first episode. I honestly can’t wait to see the other episodes. You gave me hope today. Thank you for that!
I’m so glad to hear that Ajka, and you’re welcome!
The Smoke Alarm Comparison really puts things into perspective. It gives some rhyme and reason behind a terrible phobia. And the fact that we make things worst by suppressing our fears and worries makes me think twice about how to deal with issues. However I am still in the dark about how to handle these issues. I look forward to more episodes to help me learn and rid my self of these fears.
Thanks Luca. The rest of the series will show you what to do to start getting greater control back.
Michael. Thanks so much. This comes at a time for me when it is so needed. Our city was flooded by the devastating waters from Hurricane Harvey recently & anxiety is at a maximum peak for hundreds of thousands of people. I will use these tools in the days ahead for myself and to share with others.
Hi Warren, I’m so sorry to hear about the flooding and hurricane you’ve been through. I hope you all get through this natural disaster ok!
I was also told I had a chemical imbalance. Funny, how one event in my life could suddenly trigger a “chemical imbalance” that took effect hours after the event.
Yes, the chemical imbalance myth is not a plausible one anymore!
i have had panic attacks for years i take medication but it does not always help
Thankfully, high-quality psychological approaches are far more powerful than any medication. So stay with this series and we will help you!
i really enjoy the first one it relaxed me and made me feel i can get better after years of panic attacks
I’m glad to hear that Grace. Thanks for commenting!
