STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY

As you’ve discovered in this episode, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.

Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.

Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.

Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!

STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS

If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?

Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).

Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.

Love,

Michael

P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.

IMPORTANT: ABOUT UPCOMING EPISODES...

Please keep an eye out for emails from me. I space each episode out to once every 2-3 days to give people time to watch. Links to episode 2 and future episodes will be emailed to you, when ready.

  1. I can’t believe that everything that Michael Norman said was 100% and on everything! I thought I would have to out live the universe to here such a profound understanding, such a relief in that itself.

    1. Hi Rohit, I’m so sorry that you’ve been suffering for the last 3 years. We can definitely help you, so keep watching. The next episode will explain how panic can become associated with certain situations, and episode 3 will give you a technique you can use to start getting control back. Thanks for commenting. P.S. I love India!

  2. So helpful to know that it’s not a chemical imbalance and it doesn’t mean I’m going to go crazy. These are the feelings I had before I watched episode 1. (Greatly looking forward to episode 2 – how do I access this?). Thank you so much for your insight so far. G

    1. You’re welcome Georgie, and glad you’re getting some important insights already!

  3. Most important fact for me, All panic attacks end. You will not die from a panic attack, but it feels like you might. My question is how do I know that this episode is NOT the real thing, that it is a panic attack. Each time I have had such an episode, it is different. But always it is difficult.

    1. Hi Lilly, I think you’ll find the technique in episode 3 very useful. It will start the process of giving you control back.

  4. I know i’m not alone this épisode has helped me to know what is the main problemes of having panic attack i know that first thing that came first un my mind is death so from that moment i started to avoid anything even the food and sleeping i always think that if i fell asleep i’ll die thank you for making things clear in my head

    1. Hi Hajer, sorry to hear about what you’ve been going through. I’m glad you’re watching these series, though, because it will help you a lot.

  5. Just from the first episode. WOW! This makes so much sense and helping understanding better about this Panic Attack. My wife is dealing with it and it had been so BAD. I look forward on helping HER as well as ME and my family. Looking forward to the next episode. Giving us so much confidence!

    1. I’m so glad to hear this Ian! It could be great for your wife and you to watch these together.

  6. Hi Michael, during episode 1 I started literary crying – but this time not from fear as usual, but from joy – first time since I remember I started believing that I won’t need only “to cope” with my life, but actually living it! Can’t wait!!!

    1. Hi Jim, good luck with the MRI. Episode 3 will give you a technique you can use immediately.

  7. Thank you for creating this program. For people who are struggling with anxiety or depression, a good move would be to learn how the mind works. If you have knowledge on how the mind works it could help you understand what is going and help you to know what you need in order to fight back.

    1. You’re welcome Hiba. Yes, thanks to decades of scientific research we know so much about how anxiety and panic work. That’s what this series is all about, so I’m glad you’re here!

    1. It’s amazing, isn’t it Deb. So many people suffer in silence, thinking they’re the only one.

  8. I enjoyed listening to episode 1. I have panic attacks after I fall asleep and have had them for years, so I’m really hoping that finding out more about panic will help to end my pattern, because it is just miserable to be stuck with waking up in panic. Thanks for your work Michael.

    1. Yes, that is what affects me and hence me watching this video at 3 am after waking from a horrid panic attack. This doesn’t seem like it will ever end and I just want to give up on everything.

    2. Hi Sharron, so sorry to hear about the panic attacks you’ve had while sleeping. We can definitely help you, so I’m glad you’re here!

  9. To be honest, I was a little skeptical of signing up for a video series on something that affects my day-to-day life so deeply and pervasively, but I have to confess, I have really enjoyed Episode 1 very much: it is comforting to know that panic attacks are so common; the over-protective smoke alarm analogy is an excellent one; and thinking about surviving with a hair-trigger smoke alarm constantly going off as being brave is comforting. Thanks! I look forward to the other episodes.

    1. I’m so glad you signed up Robert, and so glad you enjoyed Episode 1 so much. Episode 2 and 3 go much deeper than this, so I think you’ll enjoy them even more!

  10. Thank you so much . After watching the video, I feel like , I will get completely healed from panic attacks . At times when panic attack becomes severe, I wish I do not have the ability to think and tell myself , I do not want to go to past or future..but calm down at this moment…I am literally shouting to my brain to calm down…I was watching your video in the middle of a panic attack, and by the time this episode ends, I feel very peaceful ..Thank you so much.

    1. Hi Leejo, I’m glad this helped you go from panic to peaceful. Regarding shouting to your brain to calm down, I think Episode 3 will be very important for you!
