STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY
As you’ve discovered in this episode, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.
Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.
Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!
STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS
If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?
Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).
Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.
Love,
Michael
P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.
IMPORTANT: ABOUT UPCOMING EPISODES...
Please keep an eye out for emails from me. I space each episode out to once every 2-3 days to give people time to watch. Links to episode 2 and future episodes will be emailed to you, when ready.

Watched the first episode and broke down in floods of tears.I think it was relief that there is help and I’m not alone as I thought I was .I can’t remember a time when I really enjoyed a panic free life and I eagerly await next episode.
Thank you so much for teaching me basics of this. As a teenager about to graduate it is very difficult dealing with panic and anxiety. I’m hoping your videos can help me help myself through these times
Having suffered from anxiety and panic for most of my life, finding this information has been a blessing and for the first time I am feeling hopeful! Thank you for all you have done and are continuing to do, looking forward to future episodes! Many, many heartfelt thanks!
Hi Michael,
Thank you very much for your video on YouTube “Instant Calm”.
About a month ago I had a very strong panic attack, I thought it was a stroke. When I see my doctor the next day he told me that it was an anxiety attack, (maybe he said panic attack, I can’t remember), I felt a sense of relief because it wasn’t a stroke or a heart attack.
He asked me if I needed medication, I said no, because I’m not really into that. I do a lot of yoga and meditation.
Anyway, last Thursday night I watched your video instant Calm on YouTube, and I couldn’t believe the change in so short a period. I didn’t wake up as my normal self on Friday, I was a happy, positive person.
Thank you
Thank you!
I always knew I was not alone in this panic and anxiety world. When I came across your video tears stream down my face as for the first time I was able to recognize signs and symptoms that I had dealt with stopping me from living my life and doing what I want to do. I was able to finally try to be able to live a full and healthy life anxiety-free! My journey is just beginning. I had an aneurysm in my brain frontal lobe by my pituitary. I am almost three and a half years in my healing process. I’m dealing with several moments of anxiety and several panic attacks today. I struggle and now have found you Michael a way out. Hopefully for me , you will be able to rid me of my constant fears. So I may continue my beautiful life with my family and be table to do the things that I so desperately want to do in life. Thank you so very much for doing this for me and others who suffer! I look forward to part 2. God bless you!
Thanks for this i can still see hope that i will be free from panic/anxiety disorder.
I quitted with medications since i cant see any progress.i am suffering from anxiety more than a year now and it really sucks..my life is totally ruined by it since i always have negative thoughts and a lot of fears that i always stay home, its the only place i feel safe..to know that im not alone makes me feel comforted and knowing that this can be cured gives me hope..cant wait for your next videos.. i hope i can be my previous self again…
Really appreciate the help being free, hoping to return back to my normal self asap x
As I watched your video,it is truly a heartfelt that there could be someone who can boost up your feelings that confidence you build to everyone and be of a great help in coping this kind of anxiety.
Kudos!! Looking forward to watch more of your helpful episodes:)
Well in just 30 sec. I would try to convey you’re concept of ”the panic mistake” using you’re analogy of a fire alarm not knowing the difference between a sofa on fire and burnt toast. Furthermore I would suggest to the person to try and emulate her-/himself unwinding after an intense workout session (with a convincing smile) – slow deep breaths, no hyperventilation and so on.
If I were speaking to a fellow Swede, in my native language that is, I would have a few sec. left which I then would use to try and explain the counter intuitive nature of it all. Whether I would succeed within the time limit or not is another matter. I would at least try.
Assuming I’m writing to Michael when posting this comment, I would like to publicly agree with all the positive and kind words that people commenting have to say about you. The so called “professionals” in my neck of then woods have almost everything to learn from you.
I’m still hesitant so share my experience with mental health issues. But since I benefit from reading other peoples “essays” I probably should return the favor, assuming there’s another one like me out there…
If I do decide to share I will do so in the commenting section of the SECOND video.
Me commenting is the very least I could do to show my gratitude to YOU Michael and the work you’ve done. The fact that a lot of it is given away for free says something about you and you’re values in life – inspiring and most definitely worth emulating.
Thank you so much for sharing this information! I have been suffering from PTSD from abuses in my life. I have been suffering for years from a feeling of not being safe and it is debilitating. I am so excited to find out more from you. I only seem to get temporary relief and I wake up with that pit of fear in my stomach every morning. So excited to learn more. Thank you for sharing.
A mistake to be corrected ! Beautiful and strong enough to comfort someone struggling on daily basis with this problem not to say illness cz it is no longer so ! According to whag I have just heard. Thanks a million for such a valuable video
Thank you so much for this. I’m so glad I came across your videos on YouTube. I’m so excited to continue your series. I have suffered from panic and anxiety on and off for over 20 years. Listening to you puts my anxiety of having anxiety and panic at ease.
I can’t wait to know what you know. My panic attacks started after a resurfaced trauma and a hip/low back injury that caused me to also fear I was developing MS. My grandfather had it and his started with weakness in one leg as well.
I’m so glad I tripped onto this. My favorite thing I’ve heard from Michael so far is that panic stems from having an oversensitive smoking toast alarm. It’s kind of a compliment…but still something to overcome.
I panic when my husband leaves for work. Feeling of lose of control. Can’t breath, etc. Same as when my grown children leave my house. I’m petrified to be alone. Can I be helped?
Teresa
You are not alone…
The whole “mistake” thing really helped with understanding my panic attacks. Its just burnt toast!! Haha. When is episode 2 available?
It’s nice to know that someone truly understands about these panic episodes.. I already want to give up calling them attacks and am very hopeful that you can help me to eliminate this issue from my life! Thank you
