I have been suffering from high anxiety and panic attacks quite a while now and it has got to the point where I have been constantly breaking down on a daily basis and completely unable to walk my daughter to school but since watching episode one I already feel much more confident and cannot believe that panic is really so common. THANK YOU

Thank you, so so much. I’m a teenager currently dealing with unexplainable panic attacks that started a year ago, my whole life from being confident and happy has just stopped and sadly been put on hold. School is a major issue for me and my attendance from being a highly dedicated student has dropped drastically. I’ve taken comfort in the fact that it’s not just myself who suffers these issues (apologies for the amount of text) but I’ve searched everywhere for something like this. I’ve been on xannax for the last 5 years. It really wrecked my life. I want to learn how not to rely on benzos anymore to feel safe and normal

I am hoping that you can lift me from the dark despare I am going through as there seems no end what do I do when its bed time and the black dog raises its head .Great video and understanding of what we are going through
So glad you’re here Royston. Just to be clear as often that phrases “black dog” is used to refer to depression… this isn’t about depression. It’s about ending panic attacks (Obviously, panic and depression very often go hand in hand). Thanks for your comment!

Michael. I’m so glad I found your sight, it was by accident, or maybe not!!! As I was praying to get help.
I in the past have a quite a few attacks, this week 3. I feel I’m going to have a stroke or heart attack.
My blood pressure has been 195/103 my doctor has me 2 types of pressure pill. His advice stop this worrying or you will have a stroke or heart attack, guess what now I concentrate on the fact I will.
Just listening to your first episode, made me re think my problems. I can hear my heart beating in my ears as I write this. Hopefully watching all your episodes will help me. Your voice is soothing and genuine. Thank you Micheal for giving these helpful suggestions and your insights on this major problem

Hi Ann, most doctors mean well, but unfortunately they’re not trained about the power of words. He was obviously trying to help, but didn’t realise that his words were impacting you in a way that does the opposite. Telling someone to “stop worrying or they will have a heart attack” has got to be one of the best ways to increase worry, not help them! Glad you’re here because there is so much we can do to help you 🙂
Comforting to see a professional that actually cares, for an introductory episode it still gives previously unknown information to me and probably most importantly it has given me a hope for lessons to come that i may be able to have my life back finally after many years of being imprisoned by my own mind.
