STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY

As you’ve discovered in this episode, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.

Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.

Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.

Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!

STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS

If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?

Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).

Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.

Love,

Michael

P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.

IMPORTANT: ABOUT UPCOMING EPISODES...

Please keep an eye out for emails from me. I space each episode out to once every 2-3 days to give people time to watch. Links to episode 2 and future episodes will be emailed to you, when ready.

  1. wow.. my partner has insecurity/controlling/panic and Iv been searching for the answer to solve this problem.. this problem seriously affects our relationship, Iv tried to look under all the rocks to find the solution if there is one.. Ive only watched episode1 this far, but I am impressed with what Ive learned already….thanks so much… now I have hope again…

    1. Hi Jerry, I’m so glad this is making a difference for you after all you previous attempts to find a solution!

  2. Hi michael
I think i have high functioning anxiety, as I’ve done a little research and this best suits what I feel and do, would these videos help me or should I see a professional as its gotten really bad and I no longer want to leave the house or see anybody, I feel so tired and I get very angry. I don’t know what to do. What would you suggest

    1. Hi Sarah, there is a huge amount we can do to help you through these videos and the rest of what I offer online. Of course, saying that, I would never discourage anyone seeking 1-on-1 help either.

  3. Thanks so much such a relief knowing I don’t have to worry about why the attacks are suddenly happening. This one video helped so much!

  4. Many years ago I was diagnosed with panic disorder. Through various lifestyle changes, I was able to bring it under control so that I had only a couple of panic attacks in the last few years. Recently, a “perfect storm” of events contributed to recurring anxiety and yes, a couple of those dreaded panic attacks. My doctor wants to use medication, but my gut says that’s not the answer (years ago I took a lot of medication and still had panic attacks). This first episode gives me hope. I’m looking forward to the rest.

    1. Hi Heather, so glad this episode gave you hope. We’ll build on that in the next two episodes, so stay tuned!

  5. This is awesome! I actually cried a little listening to episode 1. It feels so amazing to hear someone can help with these terrifying attacks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Michael!

  6. Panic ‘attacks’ happen when your body is trying to protect you but has wrongly detected a situation that it thinks would call for alarm or panic in order to help you survive the situation. A false alarm reaction to a wrongly perceived threat feels just as strong as a reaction to a real threat. This can be very scary.

  7. Dear Michael. I have suffered with claustrophobia for over 20 years. And it has definitely increased in the last several months. I decided to do something proactive. I visited a cognitive behavioral therapist but didn’t feel very supported. I decided to start researching articles and videos and came across your series. I found the first video very informative and filled with common sense. I am looking forward to the next installments. Thank-you.

  8. After I was hospitalised and was fired from my job, shortly after I began feeling panic attacks. I love hiking and being active. However the panic has made me fearful of hiking to far and has even affected me at the gym of all places. Sometimes I just want to stay home because I’m exhausted after an attack bit I make myself get out and enjoy what ever moments I can. I get the feeling of choking, thirsty, racing heart beat, cold and hot flashes, sweaty palms and feet and even turn pale and start shaking. It can last minutes or all day. I would never wish this on anyone.
If I had 30 seconds to talk to another person with anxiety. I would say you are not alone. There is no chemical imbalance and you can’t die from a panic attack.

    1. Sorry to hear what you’ve been through Johnny. You’re definitely not alone, and glad you’re here going through this series so we can help you!

  9. Michael God bless you. Quick background on my self. I expirienced my fist panic attack a couple of days ago do to a car wreck. Went to the ER thinking it was a heart attack. Long story short Doctor comes back after with my EKG results and tells me all I had was a panic attack. Hands me a prescription for zanex and says to take one when needed. I got home soooo confused and depressed thinking my life was over. To tell you the truth as I write this comment I’m still filling ify. Is that normal? I have been sitting at home trying to wrap my finger on what just happened to me and how to cope with it. Got on line to research and thank got I came across one of your videos. I fell that you of all people understand me and can help me get out of this dark hole I have fallen into. Thanks god bless you.

  10. I want to thank you for explaining panic the way you did. I have had periods of it throughout my life. I have been able to overcome it in the past but this time it snuck up on me. I feel like your messages could truly help me. Please tell me how to see episode 2. You are in inspiration and I feel like you absolutely understand and will free a lot of people from this nightmare. Thank you so much.

  11. Michael, god bless you for all the great help you are giving desperate people like myself. I recently experienced my first panic attack ever. woke up sweating completely pale and shaking like a leave. It was so bad I rush in to the ER thinking it was a heart attack. (im 34 years old) couple of days have gone by and my body feels ify weird. is that normal? I dont feel like my bubbly self. Im sad, confused, depresssed, scared, still very shaky about it. Its so bad I’m even scare to leave the house. I’m a mother of 2 great kids who I dont want this to affect them. Any feed back wil be very much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    1. Hi Irma, just keep going through this series and you’ll get a lot from it. Thanks so much!

  12. We share many of the same fears, it’s very comforting to know my concerns have been concerns of others. Thank you for your personal insight.
