STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY
As you’ve discovered in this series, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.
Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.
Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!
STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS
If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?
Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).
Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.
Love,
Michael
P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.

Thanks Michael! You are doing great service….God Bless you!
The one thing I would tell someone is …let that child scream or do what it likes just ask it to do its job well 🙂
Thank you Michael. A very helpful and informative episode like the last one. I can’t wait for the next one.
I’m feeling better about myself and truly hopeful after watching 3 episodes. Thank you for this wonderful series sharing your incredible knowldege with so much compassion. God Bless!
Yesterday I had a panic false alarm and quickly imagined the worst one I ever had. In a few minutes I calmed down and went on with my day.
I am extremely anxious (probably a bad choice of a word) for the next episode. Please send it soon!
Hi Micheal,
I’d like recommend this series to my friends, but unlike me, they not only deal with panic and anxiety but PTSD caused by sexual assaults and hate crimes. I was wondering what your experience is working people who have PTSD and if this amplification strategy might actually make it worse for them. I don’t want to recommend something and then have it backfire. Thank you so much for the work you do and I look forward to the next episode. So far, this series and your instant calm video on youtube has helped me feel safer and more hopeful that when I experience a panic attack again, I’ll be able to handle it.
Hi Quinn, I’m so glad you’re enjoying this series (along with Instant Calm). I wouldn’t recommend this technique for PTSD. PTSD responds most quickly to a very different approach (and I work with people with PTSD 1-on-1). This tool here is just for ending The Panic Pattern (ie: the vicious cycle of body-sensations to anxiety, and from anxiety to more body-sensations etc).
Hi Michael,
Your insight about encouraging panic attacks made me chuckle, not because I found it funny but because it seemed to switch on a light inside and triggered a touch of excitement that the solution to panic could really be so simple.
All the Best, Kevin.
Another breathtaking episode. Really thankful for your guidance and revelation of a different panic battling approach! Looking forward to the next one!!
Thank you so much Michael! Making perfect sense and cannot wait for next episode. Extremely grateful.

Thank you Michael -After listening to Episode 3 I was able to get on the freeway instead of taking side street and make it to my destination with only slight discomfort. I feel like there is hope from this bondage.
People tell me to stop the thought when I get panicky. It has the white bear effect. I am not sure how encouraging it would help. I am showing this video to my husband so may be he can encourge my panic. Look forward to 4th episode
Listening to you and following you is just the BIGGEST help ever. No one understands unless they have had panic. I really thought I was going mad. With these episodes, it is all beginning to make sense and actually works. So looking forward to the next episode. Thank you from the bottom of my heart I am now beginning to see the light. Liz
I had my first panic attack about 2 and a half weeks ago. A week went by without any “attacks”. Exactly a week later I got another one and everyday after that for a week straight I got one or two. Yesterday was a good day. What’s helped me the most is understanding that a fast heartbeat, feeling light-headed, or shaky hands doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m getting a panic attack. I’m eager to learn more. My husband has even watched your videos so he can understand as well and be there with me.
Thank you so much Michael. I’m so glad I came across your channel.
Loved episode 3 it changed my thinking about panic thank you. I’m scared to force a panic attack since i hadn’t had one in weeks just the symptoms. If it will eliminate panic and anxiety from my life I’m willing to try it.
Brilliant video and idea. It’s like panic is a hiccup so you scare the person out of it. I’m hoping to try it next time i feel a panic attack coming i’ve been close to overcoming it the last few weeks i just feel symptoms from time to time.
Episode 3 is confusing but I think it makes sense in a weird way.
I really enjoyed the episode 3, and i totally agree with every word that you said. I will ready the sheets and start trying ! Thank you very much ! Look forward to episode 4 !
And here is another deep, positive, pratical episode. But, i think i need more courage to try to trigger a panic attack ! Gonna try though. Thanks doctor for all the valuable info. U made a difference yeah
Thankx norman it helped me a great deal
That trying to purposely increase a panic attack will actually (for lack of better word) burn it out! Fire against fire. Like burning an area before the fire gets there
After watching this video, I decided I was sick of being stuck in my house and that I was going to drive into town and do some errands. And if I thought I was going to have a panic attack, then I would make myself have the biggest one possible. Just like predicted, I started to feel anxious, so I focused and tried to rev it up, but instead it just petered out. I am totally amazed! And I have been living with panic for 20 years and agoraphobia for the last two years!
