STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY
As you’ve discovered in this series, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.
Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.
Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!
STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS
If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?
Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).
Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.
Love,
Michael
P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.

So kind of you to comment just to say that. Thank you Matthew!
My wife passed away three months ago being in the hospital for several months. I think my stress level finally caused me to have the worst panic attack of my life while I was at work last week. I was convinced I was either having a heart attack or my blood sugar was way off and i was entering a diabetic coma (I’m not diabetic, but I still thought that). I had both BP and blood sugar checked at the nurse’s office at work, and both tested normal. I’ve been having terrible anxiety for months now, but the panic attack was a whole new level of misery. My panic symptoms went away immediately after being shown that I wasn’t in immediate danger, but I’ve been worried that they will come back. Thank you for this series of videos. I intend to follow it all the way through.
Hi Chris, what can I say other than my heart goes out to you. What you’ve been through would be immensely challenging and painful for ANYONE, and it’s very common for these kinds of life-events to culminate in panic attacks. I’m so glad your symptoms have immediately gone away just from knowing you’re not in danger. We’ll take the next step in Episodes 3, helping you set the groundwork so you know they don’t have to ever come back again.
Thanks Michael. It’s all starting to make sense now. Can’t wait to watch episode 3.
You’re so welcome Stacy. Great to hear 🙂
No panic this morning and that’s just after session 2! And I’m really interested in the over breathing , looking forward to the next session ,thankyou so much
I am on Lexapro 20mg daily and have been for 2 years. For the last 2 months, every day, I have had horrible debilitating anxiety attacks that last HOURS, sometimes several episodes in one day. It was exhausting and frustrating. After watching Part 2 last night, I applied what I learned to today, and for the first time in 2 months I haven’t had a single anxiety attack. I was a bit anxious at times, but it was definitely a lot more manageable then before. While I knew in my head it was only anxiety, I still haven’t been able to stop the attacks until today. Can’t wait for Part 3! Fabulous Job Michael!
Hey Steffanie, so glad to hear that today is the first day in 2 months that you’ve haven’t had a single panic attack. That’s a great start 🙂
You are utterly amazing! I just don’t know what else to say. I am sending everyone I know links to this site! I know several people could really benefit from you. I literally don’t know what else to say! 🙂 Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, you are giving me my life back and making it possible for me to do.all the things with my almost 3 year old son that he deserves. He is an amazing boy, and now his mom isn’t stuck in bed almost everyday!
Hey Steffanie, I’m so happy to hear that these videos are helping you so much. And thanks for taking the time to comment!
From someone that has panic attacks all day , why does it make me feel like I’m going mad ?
Thank you for the video, looking forward to the next one xx .
Hey Steff, I think I quickly explain this in the episode but very briefly: The Panic Mistake is an unconscious mistake. It’s a very fast, automatic, unconscious fight-flight response to try and protect you from a danger that’s not there. The fight-flight response needs to be an automatic response, because conscious responses are too slow, and we don’t want to have to rely on willpower, or we would never want to have to consciously remember what to do in an emergency to stay safe. So our brain and body do everything automatically, for us. This is great, except for when a mistake happens like with panic. A Panic False Alarm can make us FEEL AS IF we’re going mad (although, that’s just an illusion – it could NEVER make anyone truly go mad) because all kinds of fast, powerful, automatic processes happen outside our conscious control, to try and protect us from that danger that’s not there. On top of this, thoughts are actually driven powerfully by our emotional state. So a powerful fight-flight response can lead to all kinds of fearful, confused, or “strange” thoughts (which are only strange because they’re a result of a mistake, and so don’t rationally match the situation you’re actually in). I hope this makes sense!
Thank you so much , Steff x
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This series is exactly what I’ve been needing. HUGS.

YOUR TRULY AMAZING.THANK YOU SO MUCH.
So glad to hear that Harold, and you’re totally welcome 🙂
Once you started talking about anxiety triggering body sensations that we learned to fear and that triggering more anxiety and so on, things started to make sense. It’s so weird when I get anxious and find myself panicking quickly and not realizing how I got there. I feel like I can see myself going through this cycle in hindsight.
Hey Michelle, I’m glad things are starting to make more sense. The reason why you find yourself panicking and not realising how you got there (extremely common)… is because the triggers happen outside your awareness, and The Panic Pattern happens unconsciously. That’s why, as you discover in following episodes, the best solutions for panic are not reliant on willpower, conscious awareness or rationality. We want you to automatically feel and be different!
Very insightful, can’t wait to watch the next episode.
Thanks Melanie 🙂
Thank you so much . You explain things well and I feel so relieved I am looking forward to episode 3 . It is so nice to see you helping so many people that suffer . Thank you again god bless
You’re welcome Melanie, and thanks for the kind words!
