STEP 2: HELP FRIENDS & FAMILY
As you’ve discovered in this series, panic attacks (and what's typically labeled as ‘panic disorder’) are very common.
Unfortunately, good help for panic is very hard to find.
Since I can't reach everyone on my own, and since we both share the same belief that we don’t want anyone to suffer in silence… if you benefit from what I’m doing here in this series, please tell others about it.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference!
STEP 3: REINFORCE YOUR INSIGHTS
If you met someone else who experienced panic attacks and you only had 30 seconds to share ONE ESSENTIAL insight from this episode with them... what would you tell them?
Share your answer below to reinforce your long-term memory for this key insight AND to share your perspective with others (who will also share their perspectives with you).
Also, if you have any other comments for me, I'd love to hear them too.
Love,
Michael
P.S. Your email address will NOT be visible to others when you share your insight in the comments section below. Also, if you're more comfortable using just your first name, that's totally fine as well.

Wow I truly hope that these videos will help me out. I have had panic for years now and was just put on medications that I had to stop taking them they made the panic worse. Thank You Michael I now know that I am not alone!
You’re welcome Jennifer!
Thank you Michael, I am finally starting to understand. I have had panic and anxiety in my life for a long time any help to change that is so good.
So glad to hear this is helping you Victoria! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
Thanks Michael for episode 2. There are so many people that suffer in silence with this problem. I find that most doctors are too quick to dish out pills for this complaint, but after watching your video and reading your information, there are simple answers to be found, it’s like a breath of fresh air.
Thanks David. I’m so glad you’re enjoying this series!
Everything you say does make sense and seems backed up with theory. I had cancer a few months ago and after an operation, which removed the tumour, I reacted badly to the anaesthetic having panic attacks in hospital. Since then over the last six months I’ve had waves of fear attacks, which I controlled by slowing by breathing, then psychological issues which caused anxiety and panic attacks, and which CBT helped. Recently I developed tinnitus and as you can’t fight this (it makes it worse) you have to accept it, but I’ve not felt able to do so, and my mother also developed cancer. Every day I worry and then get stressed and my brain races round (monitoring my body and brain for any upsets) till I either end up hysterical or fighting a panic attack. I truly hope that you will give some concrete information in episode 3. I desperately need it.
Thanks Steve. Yes, episode 3 will give you a powerful, counterintuitive “go-to” tool that has been validated by scientific research and works really well. Thanks for commenting!
I just finished watching the the second episode and it makes me feel much better thank you so much Michael looking forward for the next one
So glad to hear that Roody! Thanks for commenting.
It’s so comforting to learn that my symptoms of weak shaky legs caused by anxiety due to being sick for an extended amount of time are basically what triggers my panic. Thank you for explaining hyperventilating so well . Will share with friends on Facebook 😊
I’m glad this helped you Trudi, and thanks for sharing my message. I am grateful!
Thank you so much. You are an amazing human being. Thank you. Thank you. A million times thank you.
I’m so glad this is helping you Khunu! 🙂
Your videos are truly helped me understand what’s been going on with me. I have buried my shame from my false alarms with drugs and alcohol. Everything you have spoke about I just didn’t know. Not only that you create a calm in me that is very cool. I really appreciate what your doing. From someone who is literally coming back from the brink I truly thank you
Hey Jeff, you’re welcome. I’m so glad this is helping you so much! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, it means a lot to me.
Michael, you’ve begun pulling me out of what feels like a very dark tunnel,. Just understanding what is happening has made such a difference already. I identified with everything you said in episode 1 & 2 and I’m really looking forward to episode 3. Thank you so much for all you’re doing, you’re turning lots of lives around.
Hey Lynne, so great to hear that this is making a positive difference in your life. And thanks for your kind comments. It means a lot to me!
Hi,
I am loving everything.. Just watched episode 2.. Phew!!! It a HUGE relief to know that I am still normal, and I am not loosing.. In fact it is great to know that I am not the only person in the world having this symptoms, especially when you describe them!! I am not alone!!
Putting in that perspective it is GREAT to know that the panic attack is not here to harm me, it is exactly the other way around it is just trying to over protect me!!
I love the toaster example!!
Thankssssssssssssssss
You’re welcome Fernanda. Great insights! Thanks so much for your comment.
Hi Mr Norman I watched the first 2 episodes and there great. I really didn’t know that’s how the brain work when anxiety comes out of no were. I mean I get really scared like what’s coming next im ready for the third video to learn more and strategies to get over this sensation
Thank you Norman. Can’t wait for episode 3! I have been so terribley scared thinking I was having either a heart attack or stroke, my blood presssure goes sky high, Is that normal. My doctor say the blood pressure will do so much damage, I’m taking pills but cannot get it down. Hopefully your videos will stop my anxiety attacks, hence bring down my blood pressure.
Again than you.
Your videos are amazing! Thank you for taking your time to help so many people! I experience derealization with anxiety and it’s basically what fuels the anxiety because it’s to freightening! I’m looking forward to episode 3 to see what it has in store so I can overcome this fear. I have a hard time leaving the house because of this fear so I can’t see my psychiatrist I also quit my job. Once again thank you!
Thanks Elizabeth for your kind words, and you’re very welcome. De-realization (like all other false alarm “symptoms”) is a heroic effort to try and keep you safe, from a danger that isn’t there. Thanks so much for commenting!
My son has experienced anxiety for over 10 years and is so exhausted that he has been for the last 5 days sleeping. He has tried cbt and other methods and nothing has worked. We have been playing episode one and episode two during the last 3 days and the awful feelings he gets inside his body and head are finally beginning to ease. He is finding that listening to Michael is calming, relaxing and he is beginning to understand what and why he is getting so much anxiety. We’re all really looking forward to listening to episode three and can’t wait to receive it. Thank you Michael. Your already making a huge difference to my sons well being and for that we can’t thank you enough.
Hi Brian, thanks for letting me know that. I’m so glad this is helping your son. It sounds like he has been through a lot. So glad you’re here!
now I understand that my partner has panic disorder..yes happens all the time…but now I have a much better understanding of what is actually occurring and therefore already helps with my patience and determination to remedy this problem…thanks so much Michael
You’re welcome Jerry! Glad this is helping you understand your partner better.
I think the thing that resonated with me the most in Episode 2 is the “Recipe for a Panic Attack” cycle. That’s exactly what happens to me. I feel anxious (lately because my husband is chronically ill and I feel fear around being alone one day) and then the body sensations start. Because of my past history with panic, I get anxious about the body sensations, and then more sensations start. And then…well, full-blown panic. It was great to see this put out there in front of me, because I literally said, “Yes! That’s exactly what happens!” While I have to deal with my fear of perhaps one day being alone, my more immediate need is to stop panic attacks from occurring. As such, I’m looking forward to Episode 3!
So sorry to hear your husband is chronically ill, Heather. However, I’m so glad this is making sense of your experiences for you – that’s a big step.
Every morning shortly after getting up I choke and gag and then feel fine. Is this related to anxiety?will your course help me stop this ?
Hi Alan, I’m sorry I couldn’t possibly answer this based on the limited information here. Please email me and we can talk further. Also, I highly recommend everyone see their doctor and get a medical check up. Thanks for commenting.
Thank you for the explanation, but how do I get control of the anxiety?
You’re welcome Kim. That’s what we start to cover in Episode 3 🙂
Michael just helped me gain insight into the fact that my reaction to my body sensations and thoughts are part of my panic pattern. Now that I know this, I am hopeful that I will now learn how to break that cycle. Thanks Michael.
You’re welcome Lizzy!
Very direct and insightful information.
Thanks Hilda!
